AYUSH PhD Fellowship Scheme
The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, oversees five autonomous Research Councils that collectively constitute the country's principal scientific establishments in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy.
These Councils conduct extensive research through a network of 97 institutes across India. The Ayush Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme supports meritorious scholars pursuing doctoral research in Ayush disciplines and allied life sciences.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) including JRF/Lectureship
- Enrollment: Enrolled in Ph.D. programme at recognized university/institution
- Research Area: Pursuing AYUSH-related research projects in life sciences
- Age Limit: 28 years for JRF, 32 years for SRF (as on application deadline)
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women as per government norms
- Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks
